ZIEHL-ABEGG SecureMail for external communication partners

The following step-by-step instructions will guide you through the simple an one-time registration on the ZIEHL-ABEGG SecureMail Web Portal and provide you with information on the general functions of the platform.

The design of ZIEHL-ABEGG SecureMail is similar to your private e-mail access portal (e.g. G-Mail, Hotmail, or Yahoo).

Registration on the ZIEHL-ABEGG SecureMail web portal

When receiving an encrypted e-mail from a ZIEHL-ABEGG contact person for the first time, an e-mail with a link leading to the initial registration process will be sent to you automatically.
This link is structured according to the following scheme:

  • After clicking on this link you will be redirected to the following website

  • You have now the possibility to choose the display language (German / English) and to enter a password (with at least 8 characters).
  • After clicking the "Next" button, you are prompted to enter a security question. This allows you to reset your password yourself if necessary.
  • Please select one of the proposed security questions and type the appropriate response.
  • After confirming the entry with a click on the "Finish" button, you have successfully created a user account and will be redirected to your ZIEHL-ABEGG SecureMail mailbox after clicking on "Login".

 

Read and reply encrypted ZIEHL-ABEGG messages

  • After clicking on "Reply" you will be forwarded to the message editor.

 

Sending a new, encrypted message to ZIEHL-ABEGG

  • Open ZIEHL-ABEGG SecureMail via your personal link or via the following address: securemail.ziehl-abegg.de
  • Log in with your e-mail address and password.
  • Via the button "new message“  you can compose a new e-mail to a ZIEHL-ABEGG contact person.

Tips

  • Under the menu item "Settings" - "Signature" you can store your company signature which will be automatically attached to any outgoing e-mail.
  • You have the option to export emails from the portal. In order to do this, simply click on the "Export PDF (encrypted) button above the desired e-mail. Please note that, for security reasons, the exported PDF always contains your personal password.
  • Save your personal login link in the favorites folder of your Internet browser. This allows you to quickly and easily start encrypted communication with ZIEHL-ABEGG.

General information about the ZIEHL-ABEGG SecureMail web portal

  • Only ZIEHL-ABEGG employees are admitted to communicate via the portal. External recipients cannot be adressed into the communication.
  • For resource-related reasons, the storage capacity is limited to 100MB. If you reach this limit, you will be informed by e-mail.
  • If you receive encrypted e-mails from ZIEHL-ABEGG, we kindly ask you to reply to them in encrypted form.
