Roles and responsibilities in overview

The export-oriented German industry, the increasing unification of Europe as well as globalisation are significant reasons for the company's growing need for employees to provide not only profound knowledge of business economics but additionally an international economical and cultural background as well as a good standard of foreign languages.

The fields of activity cover all economical functions in an internationally stamped environment. This would include for example processing duties or project work.
Concrete tasks are for instance cost-efficient and due-process purchasing of raw materials and supplies, half-finished and finished products as well as resources or analysis of national and international acquisition markets.

Planning and organizing sales in the domestic and international market are duties in the sales department, whereas in the accounting and finance department the main focus is on financial analysis and budgeting as well as support and supervision of accounts of the parent company and the international branches.

Study specifics

  • Most of the course is taught in English. In addition to theory, guest lecturers from the English-speaking world are able to share a wealth of practical know-how

Length of apprenticeship

  • 3 years

Alternating semesters

  • The six study semesters are split into theoretical and practical training phases, study at the Duale Hochschule Mosbach (Mosbach University for dual study) – Bad Mergentheim campus – and practical training at ZIEHL-ABEGG SE, each lasting 12 weeks
