With ZArail, ZIEHL-ABEGG is now offering a new, complete fan series developed for switching operation in applications that call for high strength, for example for cooling traction motors, transformers and brake resistors.

Properties & special features:

    • 20 standardised impellers
    • Backwards curved, efficiency optimised impeller geometry
    • 5 sizes – 315, 355, 400, 450 and 500 – each with 2 wheel sizes and 2 vane diameters (further sizes on request)
    • Volume flow rate: Up to 15,000 m³/h in 50 Hz and up to 18,000 m³/h in 60 Hz mode
    • Static pressure increase: Up to 2,800 Pa in 50 Hz and up to 4,000 Pa in 60 Hz mode
    • Salt spray test 1,000 h for the impeller
    • For more than 2,000,000 switching cycles, up to 40 switching operations/h
    • Suitable for a temperature range from -50°C to 100°C
    • Strength optimised – Mathematical strength verification in compliance with FKM directive using FEM calculations
    • Tested for endurance and in long-term tests
    • Vanes welded all the way around and vane edges welded around
    • Colour: RAL 5002 (ultramarine blue) as standard, special colour tones available on request
