Hi,

I'm looking for the best way to control speed in RH50M fan (RH50M-4DK.6Y.1R). As it's not allowed to use a frequency inverter in Atex motor there are only two other ways: electronic voltage control and transformer induced voltage control.

Transformer controller: R-DK3KTG - heavy device, only few stages of speed control.

Electronic (thyristor) controller: PXDM - also a large one, but much lighter with smooth speed control.

BUT can PXDM control the fan properly? I'm afraid it's not suitable for torque control in ventilator application. Would you please confirm or deny and explain why?
