Ziehl-Abegg presents its new FE2owlet and Vpro impellers
With its advanced axial fan FE2owlet (Ø 250 to 350 mm) and trend-setting centrifugal fan Vpro (Ø 190 to 250 mm) Ziehl-Abegg AG based in Kunzelsau is continuing the development of its successful Little Blue model series.
Ziehl-Abegg has increased its range of innovative FE2owlet model series as well as the highly-efficient centrifugal fans Vpro to include smaller diameters.
The latest knowledge in bionics in combination with state-of-the-art technology, which formed the basis for the new FE2owlet and Vpro developments, was incorporated into the Little Blue model series. This in turn enabled Ziehl-Abegg to set a new standard in the market, based on the previously established external rotor motor.
The axial fans FE2owlet (Ø 250 to 350 mm) and centrifugal fans Vpro (Ø 190 to 250 mm) are available with both AC and EC motor technology, and can be operated at 50 Hz or 60 Hz. Versions to meet CE, UL and CCC standards are also available.
The FE2owlet, which in March 2007 won the coveted “Air Movement Product of the Year” award as part of the H&V awards, is now extremely close to being the quintessential fan in terms of energy, efficiency and noise.
The brand new type of wing geometry in the Ziehl-Abegg FE2owlet is a result of the direct implementation of the latest bionic knowledge. The owl acted here as the model, a bird with the quietest wing noise in the animal kingdom. OWLET is a word made up from OWL (for the bird) and LET (for winglet). This entirely new form of wing geometry serves to significantly enhance the aerodynamic properties. This is why this premium fan is now even more equipped to fulfill the requirements in terms of low noise, reliability and greater efficiency.
The FE2owlet is particularly well-suited for service in all climatic and cold zones, ventilation systems or areas, in which volume flow rates with low noise and compact design are required.
With the Vpro the engineers at Ziehl-Abegg have come up with a new centrifugal fan which has a “free-running impeller”. The advantages of the two tried-and-tested Ziehl-Abegg impeller model series “G” and “M” have been combined here in a single product. Because the blade geometry was developed specifically in accordance with the basic principles of acoustics technology, the new grooved centrifugal fans excel because of their low noise and rotational tone emissions. At the same time, efficiency has also been boosted.
The Vpro centrifugal fan is particularly well-suited to roof fans, for both supply fresh air and extract air, as well as for service in air/water heat pumps, precision air handling units, and in filter/fan units for clean-room technology, in which high volume flow rates with low noise levels and medium pressure differences are required.
