The closing of a successful business year with two-digit growth has been achieved for the second year in a row.
Referring to the preliminary result the total operating performance exceeded the 300 million Euro level for the first time in the company’s history, a growth of 13% on the previous year. What’s more, over two thirds (70%) of last year’s turnover was achieved through export business.
„The pleasing development of our company is based upon the activities of all of our business divisions. Our subsidiaries – currently in 24 countries – reached their predetermined goals and announced a considerable growth“, says Achim Curd Raegle, Chief Financial Officer of the company.
The increasing sales have contributed beneficially to the employment situation in the Hohenlohe region, where 170 new jobs were established in the last year. The Ziehl-Abegg Group employs 2,500 employees worldwide.
In 2007 the Ziehl-Abegg Group invested 24 million Euro. „For the current business year, a similar amount of investment is expected“, explains Norbert Schuster, Chief Technology Officer of the Ziehl-Abegg AG.
„We are on a good way but have not tapped the full potential yet. We will achieve our ambitious goals in 2008 as well“, says Peter Fenkl, Chairman of the Board.
