Ziehl-Abegg extends manufacturing site at Hohenlohe industrial estate:

After opening of the 'state-of-the-art' Ziehl-Abegg InVent Technology Centre in May, the expansion goes on at the Hohenlohe industrial park Ziehl-Abegg manufacturing site:
The symbolic ground-breaking ceremony for the extension of the Ziehl-Abegg manufacturing site Gewerbepark Hohenlohe took place on 10 October 2008. Chief Technology Officer Norbert Schuster inaugurated the celebration, emphasising the innovative strength and the significance of the German location for the company. Following, he introduced the building project and its future utilisation.

After only 5 years upon completion of the manufacturing site, a two-part extension will be constructed on a 7500 square metres area. The first section over about 3300 square metres will accommodate the extension of the high-bay warehouse with 5000 new storage cells, inclusive the new logistic zone. The second part is a 94 metres long, 45 metres wide and 10 metres high production hall on an area of 4200 square metres where 70 new jobs are planned. The total investment amounts to over 10 million Euros.
Next to company representatives and the Ziehl family, representatives from politics and society were also present at the ground-breaking ceremony. In his speech, County Commissioner Jahn considered Ziehl-Abegg AG as one of the main employers in the region and Waldenburg Mayor Markus Knobel emphasised the importance of this project for the Hohenlohe industrial park.
