Axial fan FE2owlet, couldn’t be quieter
Fan users have been looking for the perfect fan for years. The wish list: it should have the necessary air-handling capacity, consume almost no energy and hardly be heard. The FE2owlet from Ziehl-Abegg is the first one to get quite close to these ideals.
Nature meets technology
Ziehl-Abegg developed the new FE2owlet fan by enlisting bionic insights. For the first time, the research department in Ziehl-Abegg - the fan specialists - travelled the road of borrowing scientific insights from nature and combining them with scientific aero-acoustics knowledge. A totally novel blade geometry is the result. Owls served as the model – the animal kingdom’s bird that makes the least amount of noise in flight.
The new patent-pending fan blades are being used in the FE2owlet product innovation for the first time. OWLET stands for OWL plus LET from winglet. The aerodynamic characteristics are markedly improved by the completely new blade geometry. The second generation of the premium fan, the FE, now complies even better with the users’ demands for low noise emission, reliability and high efficiency. In initial practical tests, the FE2owlet attained clearly better efficiency and noise emission values than its predecessor models, which were already landmarks in their own right.
Thanks to this second generation of the world famous FE fan, Ziehl-Abegg is even further expanding its position as an innovative fan manufacturer. In particular, engineers and planners involved in refrigeration are relying on the dependable and proven technology from Ziehl-Abegg. The FE2 Owlet is setting another milestone here.
