Our cross-flow fan catalogue has been completely revised and reissued.
Besides the new addition of speed control units for single phase motors and fans in the catalogue, there are some improvements to mention on the QR08 type fans:
Curves in the upper pressure range were stabilized due to optimized conductor elements and the mounting brackets were adjusted to the QK-Types. The QR08 are now also available in appealingly aluminium design.
At the beginning of April, the Ziehl-Abegg subsidiary Sao Paulo opened for business
The South America market in the air conditioning sector presents great potential for Ziehl-Abegg. To take better advantage of that and to provide effective customer service, a subsidiary in Brazil has been founded. With support in the national language, improved prerequisites for logistics and invoicing and more frequent contacts, Ziehl-Abegg in Brazil is providing a significant increase in the quality of service.
Starting immediately, Ziehl-Abegg can supply the new version of the
free-of-charge ZETALIFT design programme. The programme determines the necessary drive specification for elevators, already based on the directive VDI 4707 standard.
With the design software, customers can comfortably and quickly calculate the drives and frequency inverters for their elevator projects. The programme was extensively overhauled during recent months and now provides a considerably expanded scope of functions. Starting immediately, the drive specification can be taken into account correspondent to the planned field conditions, e. g. operating time and trips per hour.
Along with the mentioned consideration of directive VDI 4707 for the drive specification, the results file is output in the more lucid HTML format.
Also new is the calculation of the ideal matching power feedback control for the desired elevator. On top of that, the power consumption and the power costs can be calculated including the standby losses, with and without power feedback control. While doing so, the software determines the energy efficiency class in accordance with VDI 4707.

The Ziehl-Abegg specialists made it their mission to find a more comfortable solution for condenser pressure regulation. The goal here was to facilitate rapid, uncomplicated commissioning and at the same time to be able to display the measured condenser pressure. The product that emerged impresses with its simplicity while being state-of-the-art at the same time.

For the compact gearless ZETATOP series, Ziehl-Abegg is now offering a machine frame also for the 1:1 suspensions. The system is designed for use in existing machine rooms.
More and more gearless drive machines are being used when modernising elevator plants. That can be attributed especially to the technical advantages such as energy efficiency, low-noise operation and the low maintenance expenditures.
During modernisation, the drives are still being predominantly installed in machine rooms. And that often involves installations with 1:1 suspensions, i.e. with relatively large rope clearance.
For the compact drives from the SM200 series, Ziehl-Abegg is now offering a machine frame for the 1:1 suspensions, which can be easily adjusted to the local circumstances. For instance, diverting pulleys with different diameters are available, the length of the machine frame can be adjusted onsite and the rope distance can be adjusted without any great effort.
The upshot is that Ziehl-Abegg can now provide a compact drive package for modernisation from a single source, comprising the gearless elevator machines with mechanical hand release for the brakes, the ZETADYN elevator frequency inverter for installation in the machine room or in the elevator control as well as the advantageous machine frames with the corresponding pulleys.
