This is a service to inform other people (e.g. collegues, acquaintances or other interested parties) quickly and easily about contents on the Ziehl-Abegg website.
This option is available on every page of the website by clicking on the icon (bottom right corner of the respective content section).

In the dialogue box which opens, please insert your name and e-mail address as well as name and e-mail address of the person you want to inform. Optionally, you can leave an additional message for the recipient.

The addressee receives an e-mail with a link to the page you recommended. The content can be viewed with just one click on the link.

Alternatively you can use our recommendation service for seperate files instead of complete page contents: after each file link on the Ziehl-Abegg website there's usually a recommendation icon as well (). When you click on it you reach the above mentioned dialogue box again.
The document recommendation works in a similar way to the recommendation service: The addressee also receives an email containing a hyperlink but this time the link leads to the (pdf-)document itself not a specific page of the website.

Annotation:
As registered user you can profit by the advantage of the possibility to store your personal data in your profile, thus your name and email address are preset in the recommendation dialogue box.

Ziehl-Abegg bookmarks are comparable with bookmarks of your browser. But the Ziehl-Abegg bookmarks are stored internally within the website, i.e. these bookmarks are (different from bookmarks of your browser) available on any other PC!

For greater clarity you have the possiblity to administrate your bookmarks in folders, the so called categories.

At the beginning, every logged in user receives two standard categories ("default 1" and "default 2"). These categories can be edited and deleted as described in the following. Of course you have the possibility to create your own categories as well:


Creating categories:
Please click on the "bookmarks" button and the icon respectively. A little window opens:
















To create a new category please click on "manage category". In the main window you now have the possibility to create new categories, edit categories that were inserted before or to delete categories.
Just click on the "create a new category" link, insert the desired category name and save your entry.


Creating bookmarks:
To create a bookmark please open the page within the Ziehl-Abegg website you want to store in your bookmarks and click on "bookmarks" button or icon.
The small window opens and you can choose

Private messages (short: PM) are short text-based messages, that can be sent between registered users.

The message can only be read by that person to whom the message was sent.

To write a private message please click in the profile block on the icon or the "priv.message" text button or in the board (in various places) on the button .

In the opening window please write your message and send it by clicking on "Send Message".

Further information about private messages can be found in the FAQ of the board.

As logged in user you have the possibility to add other users of the Ziehl-Abegg website to your contacts ("buddies").

Therefore just click on the icon in your profile block. Then please insert the name of the desired contact into the field "Add User" and confirm your entry by clicking "Add". The user is then added to your "Buddy List" on the left.

The creation of contact data e.g. has the advantage that you can access your contacts quickly and easily using private messages (PMs). In addition you see by means of a coloured accentuation of the icon in your profile block when one or more of your contacts are online.

Each registered user has his own profile where he can adjust definite settings and store personal data (name, address etc.).

The stored data can be edited anytime and is, of course, inaccessible to third parties.
Storage of data offers the advantage of prefilled information (name, email adddress etc.) e.g. for inquiries via contact form.

For the administration of your profile please click the "settings" icon
in the profile block on the website or in the board on button top left.
Then you reach an overview of different setting options. Use "Edit Profile" to administrate your personal data or define via "Edit Options" if other users are allowed to email you.
