"Ziehl-Abegg is bursting at the seams in the Künzelsau headquarters", is how Chairman of the Board Peter Fenkl rationalises the necessity for the new construction in Gewerbepark Hohenlohe, adjacent to the A6 motorway. That is why the industrial company is now purchasing land with an area of approximately 10 hectares next to the already existing factory. In total, Ziehl-Abegg will invest 12 million euros in the new building.

Ziehl-Abegg is making room for the drive technology division right next to the A6 motorway. Up to now, the drive division has resided in the Künzelsau headquarters. Ziehl-Abegg fans are used in every climatic zone of the world, very often in outdoor applications. The environmental conditions are accordingly demanding, large temperature differences, high humidity or strong UV radiation act upon the fan material. In such extreme environments, maximum reliability is a prerequisite.

Since the end of 2010 two Ziehl-Abegg FE2owlet-ECblue axial fans have been operating under the toughest of conditions on the top of Switzerland´s Schilthorn mountain, in order to gain new insights into the specific behaviour of fans operating in cold climates.

Ziehl-Abegg generated 17 percent more sales in the first three quarters –
364 new employees

Sales at Ziehl-Abegg rose to 269 million euros in the first three quarters. That is over 38 million euros more than in the same period last year. To facilitate dealing with this 17 percent growth, 364 additional employees have been employed in the factories since the beginning of the year.
