What's special about ZIEHL-ABEGG

Nervous about the first day of your apprenticeship? Our contact event a few weeks before the start of your apprenticeship gives you the chance to get a feel of ZIEHL-ABEGG and meet other apprentices who will be starting with you.

The new starters programme in the first week of September is carefully planned to give you a gentle introduction to the workplace. From the company rally, teamwork challenges to the end-of-week BBQ in the KingsLounge, your first few days will fly by. So that your parents also know what your workplace is all about, we will also organise a parent's information day with you in September.

Every apprentice has the opportunity of doing a placement abroad in one of our subsidiaries. This international experience will help you develop personally and greatly widen your intercultural understanding.

Our aim is to enable you to develop both professionally and personally during your time with us. To help with this, there are plenty of opportunities alongside your apprenticeship for you to take responsibility and work on areas that are of interest to you, whether its' participating in the 'Jugend Forscht' (youth research) competition, in the JTK, etc. As an example, it was during one of these internal ZIEHL-ABEGG projects that the idea for a break area specifically for the apprentices came into being, which led to the creation of the KingsLounge. This is the venue for regular barbecues, celebrations, public viewings or just a place to relax in the company of others.

The best way for potential apprentices to be inspired and won over is by meeting current apprentices. That's why we always arrange for current apprentices to attend our information events and trade fairs.

In our bright and modern training workshop you will develop key skills in electrical and metalworking specialisms.

With 7 full-time trainers, more than 10 part-time trainers and around 60 training officers you can be sure you will get the very best support.
