Region Hohenlohe

The ZIEHL-ABEGG headquarters in Künzelsau and the sites in Bieringen and Kupferzell are all within the Hohenlohe region. The Hohenlohe region is in the north east of the state of Baden-Württemberg and encompasses the area around the rivers Kocher, Jagst and Tauber. Hohenlohe is the smallest administrative district in terms of population in Baden-Württemberg. Swabian writer Eduard Mörike described this rural landscape as "idyllic and full of poetry". The rivers Kocher and Jagst define the landscape as do the Waldenburg Hills and the Hohenlohe Plain. There are a wealth of cycling and walking routes to help you get to know the area. Among the most popular destinations for visitors and daytrippers are Waldenburg and the Neumühlsee, which also marks the start point for the ZIEHL-ABEGG Triathlon.

Waldenburg offers magnificent views across the Hohenlohe Plain. From here you can see the Hohenlohe Business Park, home to the second ZIEHL-ABEGG site right next to Autobahn 6, giving it ideal transport links. The Drive Technology plant was opened at the beginning of 2014. The county town of Künzelsau can be found just a little further north. The town in the Kochertal valley was where the firm of ZIEHL-ABEGG established itself immediately after the end of the Second World War.

Künzelsau is on the Kocher-Jagst cycle route that takes in many beautiful locations around the plains and the valley. Künzelsau is famous as the district with the greatest concentration of leading global brands in Germany.
The third of the five ZIEHL-ABEGG sites can be found further to the north west in Bieringen. ZIEHL-ABEGG recruits its workforce, apprentices and work-study students in the region.
