ZIEHL-ABEGG plans, builds and implements intelligent ventilation solutions all over the world. The demand for high-performance, energy-efficient and therefore human and environmentally-friendly fan systems is constantly growing, as controlled movement of air is required almost everywhere. For heating, cooling and air conditioning technology in residential and commercial buildings, industrial and automated production processes, production, processing and storage of food, as well as the cooling and ventilation of machines and systems – from power plant generators, data centres, clean rooms and robot welding stations, to packaging machines, paint plants or workshop compressors.
We have over a century of experience in ventilation technology and offer our customers a comprehensive product portfolio with which we can supply the optimum solution for every application or develop one specifically for individual customers. Even when it comes to very special or highly sensitive applications, we find the best ventilation concept and can supply the right fans, drives and control modules from a single source – perfectly coordinated for maximum efficiency with minimal electricity and operating costs. All ZIEHL-ABEGG products meet the highest quality standards. Because the most efficient flow dynamic is always the quietest, our biomimetic fan concept is based on masters from nature. The owl wings served as a model for the development of the "owl" series (FE2-, FE3-, FFowlet, MAXventowlet), further biomimetic concepts for ZAbluefin. Our innovative biomimetic blade geometries ensure the best acoustic values on the fan market. Optimal air flow also minimises wear and tear, which also contributes to sustainability as well as low operating and maintenance costs. Consequently, all ZIEHL-ABEGG products comply with the strict energy efficiency guidelines (ErP or Ecodesign Directive) and will continue to comply in the future, meaning that we can offer our customers peace of mind in this regard.
All axial and centrifugal fans from ZIEHL-ABEGG are available in various sizes and designs, so that our portfolio covers all areas of application, installation situations and protection requirements (e.g. corrosion, chemical exposure, insulation, housing, ATEX). We also offer many fans in both stainless steel as well as the high-performance composite ZAmid developed in-house: as stable as metal, rust-free, corrosion-resistant and 100% sustainably produced.

These biomimetic axial fans are modelled on the wings of a barn owl, work particularly efficiently, are maintenance-free and score points with excellent acoustic values. FE2owlet and FE3owlet are very versatile and are used in data centres, chillers and cooling towers, among other locations. Its low-noise fan blades can be 100% speed-controlled for demand-based volume flow at any time.
In the FE3owlet, the biomimetically optimised blade is equipped with an additional wavy blade leading edge, so that the blade angle can be variably adjusted. This series can also be used very flexibly in energy and environmental technology, building air conditioning, vehicle, machine and system technology.
With the FE2owlet-ECQ, we have a particularly quiet small axial fan in our range. Optimised for refrigeration technology and food refrigeration, the small economical EC motor can be used in numerous end devices and impresses with its high efficiency and almost noiseless operation.
The FFowlet is optimised for agriculture. It is perfectly designed for applications with low pressure loss, such as ventilation and air conditioning of stables, greenhouses, silos and storage rooms. It meets protection class IP55 and is particularly resistant to chemical stress.
The MAXventowlet is a modular medium pressure axial fan with adjustable blades that can be flexibly adapted to a variety of requirements. The fans are available with short or long housing in accordance with Eurovent and comply with ATEX categories 2 and 3.
ZAplus is an inexpensive, environmentally friendly, multi-functional and extremely versatile fan system consisting of a biomimetic fan, optimised full nozzle with guide vane, motor suspension and short diffuser. As an intelligent system with 100% speed-controlled volume flow rate, ZAplus improves efficiency, minimises energy consumption and allows high pressures with very quiet operation. The axial fans used can be operated with either AC or EC technology (ECblue).
Our biomimetic high-performance centrifugal fans ZAbluefin, Cpro, ZAvblue and ZApilot are ideal for HVAC systems as well as central AHUs and air conditioning systems because they provide the required pressures and air volumes everywhere, even in large, complex systems. The impellers can be made of steel or ZAmid. Controllable ECblue drives or controllable AC motors with frequency inverters ensure maximum energy efficiency.
The ZAvblue is a real all-rounder because its compact dimensions means that it fits anywhere with the same or better performance and therefore enables retrofitting without complex conversion measures. This means that there are hardly any air, deflection and performance losses, which leads to significant energy cost savings. ZAvblue and ZApilot are also ideally suited for data centres as well as rack and in-row cooling.
With our innovative ZAcube fan system, individual fan formations can be set up in just a few simple steps – up to five levels in height and width. Everything necessary for this is supplied – it is also an ideal solution for retrofitting or for energy-efficient renovations.
