Social Media with LinkedIn becomes a board-level priority

Senior executives convene at Ziehl-Abegg’s “Social Media for Decision-Makers” forum
More than 40 managing directors and board members from industry, commerce, banking and associations accepted Ziehl-Abegg’s invitation to Kupferzell. The event focused on the strategic relevance of social media – with LinkedIn taking centre stage as a platform for visibility and positioning.

Social media has long since evolved beyond a purely marketing function; it is now a matter of leadership. With its “Social Media for Decision-Makers” format, Ziehl-Abegg deliberately brings together senior executives from a wide range of sectors to discuss opportunities, challenges and practical approaches at a strategic level.

The strong response underlines the growing demand: over 40 senior leaders seized the opportunity to exchange insights and perspectives. A key highlight was the keynote delivered by social media expert Felix Beilharz, who provided a nuanced analysis of platforms such as LinkedIn in the context of visibility, recruitment and corporate communications.

“I know from personal experience just how powerful LinkedIn can be for individuals and, in particular, for organisations,” said Joachim Ley, Chief Executive Officer of Ziehl-Abegg. “In the B2B sector especially, visibility increasingly determines perception, trust and ultimately business success.”

Beyond the keynote, it was the subsequent discussion that proved particularly impactful. In an open and candid atmosphere, participants shared experiences, explored concrete questions and compared perspectives – both in direct dialogue with Felix Beilharz and among themselves. The exchanges were in-depth, highly practical and marked by a notable degree of openness.

Through events such as this, Ziehl-Abegg actively fosters dialogue on future-oriented topics while simultaneously showcasing the region as a strong and dynamic business location.

A forward-looking perspective was also provided: with the Social Media Days at the beginning of July, Ziehl-Abegg offers an established platform for anyone wishing to engage more deeply with communication, artificial intelligence and key platforms such as LinkedIn, Instagram and TikTok – open to companies, public authorities and associations alike. Since 2024, Ziehl-Abegg has also been organising the AI Communication Award, further underlining its commitment to forward-looking communication and innovation in the field.
