"Continued development of a high standard of training"

Ziehl-Abegg again awarded the “Dualis” seal of approval from the IHK Heilbronn-Franken

The motor and fan manufacturer Ziehl-Abegg has been honoured once again by the regional chamber of commerce IHK Heilbronn-Franken for its training. So the largest industrial company in Künzelsau can continue to display the "Dualis” label for another five years.

Three years ago Ziehl-Abegg received an award as a pilot company within the IHK Heilbronn-Franken. The "Dualis" seal is now also recognised beyond the borders of the IHK district as a symbol of proven excellence in training.

Michael Hilsmann, who is responsible for the Dualis Project within the IHK Heilbronn-Franken, outlines the procedure during the presentation of the award in Künzelsau: First of all, each company must work through a list covering 60 questions and assess themselves. This covers the five areas relevant to training: attracting trainees, introductory period, period of training, exam phase and, ultimately, also offering the trainees employment. In the second step, the training consultants from the IHK Heilbronn-Franken come to the respective companies and help by providing any necessary clarification or giving tips. The final test itself takes a day. To this end, three trainers from other certified companies plus one IHK training supervisor come to the company and scrutinise individual points. "This includes for example holding a conversation with the trainees", explained Hilsmann.

"Re-certification is not automatic", emphasises the Head of Training Jenny Wacker. Many of the elements in the field of training have been changed within the past three years and have to be reassessed. “This self-reflection is a very good thing" she says. The aim is to offer a very good level of up-to-date training by constantly reviewing many of the processes and procedures. Emphasising this at the award ceremony, Hilsmann says: "Ziehl-Abegg has continued to develop a high standard of training."
