The growth follows Ziehl-Abegg’s move from its previous Greensboro operations to a significantly larger Winston-Salem facility designed to support the company’s long-term expansion in North America.

Two years later, the growth of our team and our capabilities demonstrates the importance of that investment and the strength of the opportunities we see in this market.”
The Winston-Salem campus serves as Ziehl-Abegg’s North American headquarters, bringing manufacturing, research and development, logistics, sales and administrative functions together at one location. Nearly four times the size of the company’s previous Greensboro facility, the headquarters represented the largest single investment in Ziehl-Abegg’s history when it opened.
The expanded footprint has enabled the company to increase production capacity and build additional manufacturing capabilities closer to its North American customers. Ziehl-Abegg manufactures high-efficiency air movement technology in Winston-Salem for customers across a range of industries and applications throughout the United States, Canada and Mexico.
“Our Winston-Salem headquarters gave us the space and infrastructure we needed to grow,” said Jimmy Mitchell, Managing Director – Operations. “Over the past two years, our team has expanded significantly while we have continued building our manufacturing capabilities.

The headquarters is also home to Ziehl-Abegg’s second research and development team established outside Germany, expanding the technical capabilities available in North America. The R&D team supports product development and adaptation for the North American market and works closely with manufacturing and other teams at the Winston-Salem facility.
Continued customer demand has been an important driver behind the company’s expansion. With greater manufacturing capacity and technical resources in North America, Ziehl-Abegg is positioned to respond more quickly to customers while supporting growth across both established and emerging markets.

Ziehl-Abegg’s expansion also represents a growing investment in the Piedmont Triad and North Carolina manufacturing economy. The addition of employees, expanded production and continued development of advanced technical capabilities have increased the company’s presence in the region since the Winston-Salem headquarters opened.
