Motors for ROVs such as the HYDT high-voltage sub-oil motor from ZIEHL-ABEGG are true drive specialists. The compact powerhouses are used as engines for offshore and marine technology and high-load applications in deep sea settings. For example, our motors for use in great depths at sea power the hydraulic pumps that enable precise tool movement in remote-controlled underwater vehicles (ROVs). The HYDT high-voltage sub-oil motor is cooled by the flowing seawater or an oil cooler.
With ZIEHL-ABEGG oil heating motors, it is not only possible to equip new elevators, but also to modernise old, out-of-date systems more efficiently with little effort. Our FZ oil heating motor not only moves the oil, but also uses part of the drive system energy to heat it at the same time. Our oil heating motors are special drives for the highest requirements and are available in various sizes.
Precise, reliable and quiet: Our ring motor for medical equipment
The SM985 ring motor from ZIEHL-ABEGG is a particularly low-noise direct drive specially developed for modern medical technology. It is used as a drive system in computer tomographs, where maximum reliability and the quietest possible operation are important. Rotative direct drives such as our innovative ring motor enable reliably high torque and maximum precision at every movement and setting, even at minimum speeds. This means that applications can also be implemented in other situations, such as in scanner units at airports.
