Ziehl-Abegg Records Record Year in 2023 and Sets Strategic Course for the Future

A sales increase of around 9.5 percent and significant investments lay a stable foundation for further sustainable global growth and structural realignment.

Ziehl-Abegg, a global leader in the manufacturing of electric motors and fans, has concluded the fiscal year 2023 as the most successful year in its company history. With an impressive revenue growth of 9.5 percent to 955 million euros and the largest single investment in company history, Ziehl-Abegg sets new standards. Concurrently, the German company, with a newly developed strategy and comprehensive structural realignment, sets the course for sustainable global growth.

2023 marks a historic year for Ziehl-Abegg. With a revenue increase to 955 million euros – a 9.5 percent increase compared to the previous year – the company has impressively solidified its market position. "This is the best year in the company's history," explains Dr. Marc Wucherer, CEO of Ziehl-Abegg. A highlight of the year was the groundbreaking new plant in the USA, a 100 million euro investment to support growth in the American markets. In parallel, Ziehl-Abegg initiated a new plant construction in Vietnam and launched a new production in Poland. Additionally in 2024, production is being set up in India. In Germany, Ziehl-Abegg has invested more than 30 million euros in an improved machinery park and automation technology.

New Structures for Global Growth

Given the continuous growth, Ziehl-Abegg is adapting its internal structures: This enables more effective action on a global level. The reorganization includes, among other things, division into four geographic areas: Central Europe, EMEA, APAC, and the Americas. This adjustment reflects the regional and globalized customer world as well as the rapid growth of foreign markets. "This brings us closer to our markets and customers," emphasizes Dr. Wucherer. In parallel to this, Ziehl-Abegg has also adjusted the global production network to meet customer needs.

ZA2030 Strategy: A Sustainable Course for the Future

With the ZA2030 strategy, Ziehl-Abegg pursues ambitious goals: Carbon neutrality, sustainable products, and complete transparency about environmental impacts. This vision underscores the company's commitment to sustainability and social responsibility. "We will make an even more positive contribution to people and the environment," says Dr. Wucherer. Ziehl-Abegg stands not only for a future-oriented and sustainable corporate management but also for economic success and customer proximity. Therefore, the company is advancing further stages of digitalization and improving customer service.

"The course for further growth is set, with a clear focus on innovation, sustainability, and global customer proximity," summarizes CEO Wucherer.
