AC external rotor motor

Thanks to their simple design, AC motors provide a robust and cost-effective solution for small ventilation systems in cleanrooms. Control via a frequency inverter can significantly improve energy efficiency at partial load. ZIEHL-ABEGG external rotor motors combine the benefits of a compact, space-saving design with the proven drive concept of a wear-free squirrel-cage induction motor or an energy-efficient EC motor. Together with the corresponding integrated or external frequency inverter or EC controller, we offer suitable drive solutions for a wide range of applications.
For applications with a risk of explosion, such as environments containing flammable gases, we also supply our proven AC technology with ATEX and IECEx certification.
