With the HYDT series, your drive specialist ZIEHL-ABEGG provides customised solutions for specialist applications that require a particularly high power density and a lightweight drive unit. The motor is designed as a stator-rotor unit without a housing or bearings, allowing it to be integrated into your application while saving space.
Cooling is provided either directly by seawater at the housing or by a separate oil cooler. Because the motor is oil-filled, a pressure-resistant housing is not required, even at great depths below sea level. The high-voltage design allows for smaller cable cross-sections, offering technical and design advantages, particularly with long supply cables.
