ZAbluefin

The ZAbluefin made from the high-performance composite material ZAmid® is designed with properties tailored for high energy efficiency and performance. The blade concept, already proven and successful in the steel ZAbluefin, now serves as the basis for further advancement: combining material technology with aerodynamic design. The bionic blade design provides the ZAbluefin in ZAmid® technology with high performance and optimised flow characteristics, resulting in up to 7 % higher system efficiency and further reduced sound power levels. ZAbluefin is tuned for high efficiency and, depending on the application, can help reduce operating costs while delivering outstanding performance features. Specially developed for applications in potentially explosive atmospheres – for example, when handling highly flammable gases – radial impellers of the ZAbluefin series are available with ATEX and IECEx certification.

ZAbluefin explosion protected version as ER-module

The free-running radial impeller is designed as a centrifugal fan in steel, aluminium or ZAmid® technology with 5 backward-curved blades and is available with flexible motor technologies.

Key features include bionic 3D profiling with a bionically optimised design in the form of a specially twisted blade geometry, as well as a blade leading edge developed according to bionic principles and a V-shaped serrated trailing edge, which enable a broad operating map. Combined with an opening, rotating diffuser, this fan achieves high impeller and system efficiency levels.

In combination with the innovative, corrugated blade surface, diffuse sound radiation is achieved, ensuring low noise levels.

Product specification:

The free-running ZAbluefin wheel made from the high-performance composite material ZAmid® has been developed for demanding performance requirements. Adapted to intelligent ECblue motor technology (IE5) for high system efficiency values, it is suitable for a wide range of applications. Available in sizes 250 to 560 mm. Execution includes inlet nozzle with measuring device for airflow measurement. Airflow rates up to 19.000 m³/h free blowing, maximum static pressure increase up to 1.800 Pa possible.
Ventilation unit GR for compact installation in customer applications/devices. Also available with the compact ZApilotXL performance module.

Product specification:

The free-running ZAbluefin wheel in aluminium is specifically adapted to ECblue motor technology (IE5). Ideal for applications with enhanced hygiene and fire safety requirements, offering high system efficiency combined with favourable acoustic characteristics. Available in sizes 315 to 630. Inlet nozzle with measuring device for airflow measurement. Airflow rates up to 20.000 m³/h free blowing, maximum static pressure increase up to 2.000 Pa possible. GR modules for compact installation in customer applications and equipment.

Product specification:

Free-running ZAbluefin wheel made of sheet steel with surface protection provided by powder coating. Available in sizes 250 to 1,120 mm. Version with hub (taper lock or fixed hub) and inlet nozzle with measurement device for air flow. Air flow rates up to 80,000 m³/h free blowing, max. static pressure increase of up to 2,100 Pa possible.
ER built-in fans, for example for vibration-dampened use in central air-conditioning units. GR module for compact installation in customer applications/devices.
