Fuel cells are still a relatively young but enormously promising and future-oriented technology. Today, there are already numerous types of fuel cells with different sizes and outputs for various application options - from use in fuel cell vehicles (e.g., forklift trucks, trucks, buses, trains) to supplying energy to large residential buildings, workshops, and industrial plants.

The fuel cells function as highly efficient energy converters that convert chemical energy into electrical energy. Biogas, hydrogen, or methanol can be used as energy carriers. As a by-product, the fuel cells generate heat, which is ideally dissipated by the ventilation system and used.
