Dry coolers and chillers used for air conditioning in residential and office buildings as well as industrial plants must deliver the required output even under fluctuating outdoor temperatures. At the same time, noise emission requirements play a vital role. This applies not only to sound radiation within buildings, but increasingly to sound radiation directed towards neighbouring properties.
With biomimetic blades and matched system components, ZIEHL-ABEGG offers solutions for a wide variety of application demands. In addition, products such as the ZAplus system and the FE2owlet blade are specifically engineered for reduced noise generation.
When shipping ZAplus, additional transport packaging is not required. The composite nozzle used is inherently corrosion resistant. In combination with suitable corrosion protection measures, the axial fans are designed to meet the rigorous demands of refrigeration and air conditioning technology, including requirements regarding mechanical stability and UV resistance.
Even after reaching series production readiness, the products undergo continuous endurance testing in outdoor environments. Furthermore, service life tests are conducted under diverse operating conditions—such as low temperatures at high altitudes or high ambient temperatures on test benches.
ZIEHL-ABEGG also provides an extensive range of accessories for axial fans. Alongside the ZAplus+ diffuser, which enables higher volume airflow in the lower pressure range, various safety elements are available. These include guard grilles made of powder-coated steel or stainless steel in accordance with DIN EN ISO 13857:2008 for the suction or discharge side. To prevent ice formation in the tip clearance, a UL-certified heating tape with protection class IP54 is available, optionally with an insulating sleeve. Connectors and cables for commissioning are also provided.
